He’s worked with a wide range of industries on a variety of tax issues, including syndicating multifamily real estate investments, the sale of a marine engineering company, an interstate distributor preparing to go public, mergers of dental practices, restructuring of a family-owned business to take advantage of Sec. 1202 in the future, sale of cannabis dispensaries subject to 280E with multiple retail locations, advising serial entrepreneurs through multiple acquisitions of construction suppliers, partner buyouts in construction companies, issuing stock options to key employees, realtors exchanging investment properties using Sec. 1031 and cost segregation studies, venture capital funded biotech R&D companies with foreign investors, interstate expansion of an eCommerce reseller, blockchain-based video game studio, and many others over the years. He enjoys being part of a team and serving his clients as their long-term trusted advisor.

Thomas is an avid traveler. In the last few years, he has travelled with his wife to Mexico, the Bahamas, France, England and Iceland (Paris was their favorite). Now on their list is to go back to Paris with their kids and to explore New Zealand. When he’s not out exploring the world, Thomas loves to spend a night in with his wife and young boys unplugged, eating a homemade family dinner, reading books and watching movies, and enjoying a little Rocky Road ice cream when the kids go to bed! He also aspires to complete an Ironman someday to add to the list of marathon and half-marathons he has already completed.
