Shanna provides tax compliance and planning services to closely held businesses and their owners, partnerships, and corporations. She enjoys working with clients in the real estate, manufacturing, and food and agricultural industries.
Shanna particularly enjoys transactional work, and helping her clients plan for and manage the tax implications of large transactions. She has experience assisting her clients with things like 1031 exchanges, sale of businesses, and generational transition of businesses. She likes to have the opportunity to be creative and find smart solutions to challenging tax situations.
Prior to joining Sweeney Conrad, Shanna spent 5 and a half years at a public accounting firm in Yakima, Washington.

Shanna loves soccer, both playing and watching it, and is a fan of the OL Reign and Arsenal. She’s also likes to hit the gym for workouts, and hike around trails in Bellingham. Shanna enjoys traveling when she can, and hopes to visit Greece in the near future. One of her favorite things about travel is trying different foods from around the world. She hopes to swim with a shark someday too, but preferably a small one!
