Dorothy sees the core of her job as working with people. She enjoys providing tax compliance, planning, and strategy services to her clients to help them achieve more financial success and smoother operation. She wants her clients to see her as a proactive partner throughout the year, not just during tax season.
Dorothy works with closely held businesses like S Corps in the medical field, as well as other small businesses looking for a careful professional for their financial and tax planning. She also serves high net worth individuals and trusts, and loves to watch young businesses grow and develop over long-term partnerships.
Prior to her time with Sweeney Conrad, Dorothy was a co-owner of Roer & Company with her husband, Greg. Dorothy and Greg both joined Sweeney Conrad in 2021. Greg and Dorothy recently won the Distinguished Adjunct Award together from Golden Gate University for 2023.

Dorothy is a self-proclaimed obsessive knitter. When she is not working with clients, she enjoys spending time with her family (especially the grandkids- she shares her birthday with two of them!), and her students. She also enjoys reading (her favorite genre is autobiographies) and travelling.
